SEWING EXTRAVAGANZA 
Participants will learn various sewing techniques to create quilting squares and other hands on exciting projects. All students are welcome to join! Limit 10 participants per session. NOTE: EXTENDED LEARNING STUDENTS ONLY

Medical Kit.pngRED CROSS BABYSITTING TRAINING COURSE (GRADES 5 - 8) 
The American Red Cross Babysitting Training Course can help your child gain the skills they need to take care of siblings and children in your neighborhood, They learn safety strategies when their parents can't be with them. Created for young babysitters and children that are at home with out their parents. The American Red Cross Babysitting training gives your child the opportunity to know how to react if they are home without a parent and their sibling or child in their care needs help. During the training, your child will learn First Aid and CPR/AEDThis course is for students in grades 5 - 8.

QuickStart tennis is the newest rage sweeping the junior tennis world! This program allows younger children to play tennis using a smaller court, softer balls and other specialized equipment. Kids are extremely engaged and they learn skills that can be applied to more advanced techniques as they improve. The MLTC has been offering high-level tennis instruction in Acton for over 16 years and the program was one of the first in the area to offer QuickStart methods. Student should wear sneakers and dress comfortably. Rackets provided.This class is designed for K - 3 beginner participants.NOTE: EXTENDED LEARNING STUDENTS ONLY

Through hands-on activities and STEM challenges, children will think, construct, experiment, discover, and develop the desire to learn more. The children will explore the use of different learning tools that enable and emphasize STEM learning. Participants will learn something new and experience a different kind of fun in each class.. Learning is best when kids are having fun! STEM is Fun! Classes are conducted one hour per week for six weeks.

(Violin & Piano Lessons) 
No need to drive to music lessons! Marcia Kidder Desilets(mkidmusic@gmail.com) an exceptional music instructor with over 30 years of experience in piano, violin and viola instruction will be offering 1/2 hour private piano lessons and small group violin and viola lessons for interested K - 5 students. Violins and violas may be rented for a low monthly cost through the Marcia. Lessons will be offered in 10 session increments. Your child can now learn to play the piano, violin or viola as part of their day!

Chess Wizards believe strongly that education should be fun and exciting. Since their first classes in 2002, the Chess Wizards have inspired thousands of children across the United States and Canada to think logically, solve problems, win graciously, and learn from defeat. Their academy is so successful because their approach is so unique. Classes and lessons are based around our original, fun, and high-energy Chess Wizards curriculum. Regardless of a child’s ability Chess Wizards makes chess fun for all! This class has ten sessions.

GRADES K - 2

This is an introductory course designed for children in grades
K - 2 that covers basics: counting, colors, greetings and good-byes, snack vocabulary, body parts, active verbs, and a few questions.Songs reinforce vocabulary and encourage learning through movement. Handouts provide review and opportunity for self-expression. Roll-call phrases follow the "It's time to... “series, using expressions parents and children con use at home together.
 
Phrases: "What color is missing? I can count to 50! What's your name? What's that? It's time to eat, time to set the table, go to school, do your homework, and brush your teeth. These ore just a few of the expressions children learn as they sing, and play their way through this introductory course.

the Bolton library to enjoy the many wonderful opportunities the library has to offer its visitors. Please take a look at the library's exciting October calendar for this months activities. MORNING BICYCLE WORKSHOP/SAFETY CLASS Bike.png
Students in grades K - 8 brought their bikes to the Emerson Gym for a fall tune up and basic bicycle safety. Community cyclists hosted this amazing one hour opportunity for students to learn bike safety and maintenance tips from the experts. The class was open to all interested Extended Learning Program, Florence Sawyer and Emerson School students.
